Following the release of new album ‘In Some Way, Shape Or Form’ back in November, Four Year Strong play Norwich Waterfront on Monday 30th January, with support from A Loss For Words + Don Broco.
The band have now slimmed down to a four piece and comprise, Dan O’Connor (Vocals/Guitar), Alan Day (Vocals/Guitar), Jake Massucco (Drums), and Joe Weiss (Bass), who formed in Massachusetts in 2001 after O’Conner, Day, and Massucco met through mutual friends – they shared influences like Lifetime, Saves the Day, Gorilla Biscuits, and New Found Glory.
Their distinct sound and incredibly energetic live shows has led to their inclusion on countless tours and also caught the attention of Fallout Boy’s Pete Wentz, who signed FYS to his label Decaydance Records in February 2008. The band’s heightened profile hasn’t stopped them from working non-stop as they continued a hectic touring schedule over the past few years as a part of the Rockstar Taste of Chaos tour, co-headlining a summer tour with Set Your Goals in the US, appearing at Slam Dunk in the UK and the Warped tour in the US. The band recently appeared at Sonisphere Festival and headlined the Hevy festival in the UK.
The UK hard rock sensation, Asking Alexandria, have been branded as the new bad boys of rock n’ roll by major mainstream media across the world and it’s definitely something the band isn’t shying away from. They play hard and certainly party even harder ushering in a new era of rock decadence.
Their new album, Reckless and Relentless, has been unlike anything the metal/hard rock genre has seen in quite some time and is available now in stores everywhere. The disc debuted at #9 on the Billboard Top 200 charts and this is controversial, unapologetic hard rock at its very finest.
The band have announced a mammoth headline tour of the UK, hitting Norwich Waterfront on Tuesday 17th January.
Inme frontman Dave McPherson heads to the Waterfront for his first headline show in Norwich. Having released his debut solo album The Hardship Diaries last year, Dave is heading out on tour to promote new single Love Rats, before he joins Inme on tour in March (playing Norwich Waterfront on 7th March).
Support comes from Fei Comodo’s frontman Marc Halls, playing songs from his ‘A Simple Man’ EP, along with Dumbfoundus and Tyler Darrington.
Following on from the release of her debut album ‘Our Version Of Events’ on 6th February, Emeli Sande is set to start her April headline tour with a gig at Norwich UEA on Wednesday 4th April.
Having hit the number one spot with Professor Green on ‘Read All About It’ and number two with her debut single ‘Heaven’, Emeli is set on a meteoric rise to stardom. Smart, sussed, talented, entrepreneurial, shiningly engaging in the flesh, utterly transfixing on stage and unforgettable in her words and melodies, Emeli Sandé is the epitome of the brilliant modern artist.
We spoke to Matthew and Dan from Madina Lake about the past few years, and their new album World War III, which is out now. (apologies about the poor video quality on this one).

The title track from zebrahead’s forthcoming album ‘Get Nice!’ is now available to buy digitally and the accompanying video has also been unveiled. The band will be playing a one-off headline date at London’s Garage on Monday 8th August. Tickets available at www.ticketweb.co.uk. This will follow a performance at Hevy Festival in Kent the day before with the likes of Four Year Strong and Funeral or A Friend.
Matty from the band says of the forthcoming trip to this part of the world – “I can’t wait to get back to Europe! The fans are incredible! I wish I could take them all home with me and adopt them!”
The La Habra, CA-based punk inspired rock outfit Zebrahead was formed in the mist of the Orange County punk explosion and since their incarnation they have had highs and lows, sold over 1.5 million albums to date, survived label changes, garnered a Grammy nomination and toured nonstop. Fueled by pure determination and a lot of beer the band is still going strong.
