The Automatic + Nick Harrison
Monday 10th October 2008
Things have changed with The Automatic, following on from the success of their ‘Not Accepted Anywhere’ album and the massive success of hit single, and from one time favourite to annoying song, ‘Monster’ The Automatic are promoting their second album ‘This Is A Fix’. The new album has seen a change in sound, a superior produced album enhanced by Paul Mullen, former frontman of the awesome yourcodenameis:milo, joining the band to add guitar and keyboards to the songs. First single ‘Steve McQueen’ proving that the Automatic can still write catchy upbeat songs.
Support comes from Nick Harrison, a singer songwriter, who sounds like a mix between The Police, The Kooks and the Arctic Monkeys. Having just signed to A&M Records, Nick should be hitting the airwaves early next year. He sites bands including Coheed & Cambria and Maximo Park as his influences, making him already more interesting than most of the current blend of singer/songwriters.
