Following the success of their debut album ‘This Is Alphabeat’ in 2008, with its hit singles Fascination, 10,000 Nights and Boyfriend, Alphabeat have returned in 2010 with new album ‘The Beat Is’. The Beat Is full of catchy and dancey pop songs. Whilst their debut hinted strongly of an 80s influenced, The Beat Is focuses more on an early 90s sound, whilst retaining their pop edge.
The band is made up of six members, Anders SG, Stine Bramsen, Anders B., Rasmus Nagel, Anders Reinholdt and Troels Hansen. Their sound is mainly retro 80′s melodic pop, taking inspiration amongst others from British bands Deacon Blue and Prefab Sprout with distinctive overlay of male and female harmonies.
The Danish Six Piece head to Norwich Waterfront on Sunday 18th April, to play the hits and show off their new material.
