The Dolly Rockers

New girl band The Dolly Rockers are performing at Squares Nightclub in Norwich on Saturday 30th May. The trio who release their debut single ‘Je Suis Une Dolly’ in July, were on the last series of The X Factor, and have since signed to Parlophone.
Dolly Rockers, the brashest, brightest, most entertaining girl band to spring out of the ether since the Spice Girls, have started kicking up a storm across the UK – months before Parlophone are due to release their first single. Yesterday Radio 1 DJ Scott Mills played some of their signature tune, ‘Je Suis Une Dolly’, and spent three or four minutes raving about them. He also featured Dolly Rockers’ home-made video for that track on the Radio 1 homepage and listener reaction went off the scale.
Hits on the Dolly Rockers’ video on YouTube have increased hugely overnight – with an array of entertaining comments. Check them out here:

Music Week has also slapped Dolly Rockers straight onto this week’s Playlist citing ‘”Dolly Rockers deliver a punchy pop-disco uppercut with attitude”.
The girls have just completed a roadshow of shopping malls around the country, and are now embarking on a month of schools tours around the UK. In addition they are also doing a major run of shows which hits cool club kids, hen parties, gay nights, students and general punters alike with upcoming shows for May, June and July including the likes of Punk, Madame Jo Jo’s, GAY, Electroqueer and more in London, at least 14 Butlins dates around Minehead, Bognor, Skegness etc, various clubs in towns such as Norwich, Salisbury, Glasgow, Dorchester, Southend, Birmingham, Dublin and appearances at Pride events up and down the country.
Dolly Rocker’s debut single, which will be released at the end of July and in the meantime start getting excited – after all when the Guardian claims “These Primark poppettes sound like what might happen if Alex Turner were put in charge of the next Girls Aloud album” and suggests they be filed next to Ting Tings, La Roux, Bananarama and Daphne & Celeste, you just know that something AMAZING is about to be unleashed.
Dolly Rockers are no sanitised, saccharine, “manufactured” girl-band. They’re three bright, cutting, frank, hilarious and gobby girls with a mission to shake up the world of pop. Get ready to be Dolly Rockered…
